About and corrections
NWA Crime Report is an independent public safety page for Northwest Arkansas. We turn public records into plain, easy-to-read pages so neighbors can see what is happening around them.
Who we are
We are an independent local page. We are not run by, paid by or connected to any police department, sheriff's office, prosecutor or city government. Our page is on Facebook at facebook.com/nwacrimereport, and this site is where the full lists live.
Where the information comes from
- Arrests and DWI lists: the public inmate rosters of the Washington County and Benton County, Arkansas sheriff's offices. Washington County shows the booking time. Benton County shows only the arrest date, so Benton people are grouped by date.
- City crime numbers: public reports published by the Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville and Siloam Springs police departments.
Each day on the arrests pages runs from 6 a.m. to 6 a.m., so a booking after midnight stays with the night it started. The lists are refreshed through the day. A roster can change after we copy it, and an officer's charge can be amended, reduced or dropped.
What we add
We sort each day by county, show the charges in plain words, mark who is still in custody and who has been released, and write a short summary of each day with a safety tip. Our DWI pages group the people booked on drunk-driving charges night by night, because that is a problem every driver can do something about.
Charged is not convicted
Everyone on these pages was booked into jail on a charge. That is not a finding of guilt. Many charges are dismissed, reduced or dropped, and many people are released the same day. We do not publish opinions about anyone's guilt.
Corrections and removals, free
If your case was dismissed, dropped, sealed or expunged, if you were listed by mistake, or if anything here is wrong, ask us to review it with the request removal form. A person at NWA Crime Report reads every request. We never charge a fee for a correction or a removal, and we never ask for money to take anything down.
Who is not listed
We do not publish people under 18. If you believe a minor has been listed, tell us right away through the removal form and we will take it down.
